Also try to remember that this is the most contentious election in recent

history and that many of us, on both sides, feel that the impact of this
election will be truly global. This NG has a long history of spirited

debate and that history is hard to abandon.
So, as an American, I apologize to you non-Americans for our political
posts,
but I sincerely hope you realize that constant rebukes on your part may
actually be flaming the frequency of political posts. Americans DO bristle
at
constantly being told what we should do.

Very true MWB. I doubt there is ANY NG that isnt full of political OT posts
right now. Rec.sport.golf has plenty not to mention all the Ryder Cup
brewhaha.
After Nov 2 it will all die down except for a few "I told you so's" and
that will play out as well.
