Wow thanks RHF.

Looks like Herman Electronics right here in Miami has them. Well, its' on
their site, so hopefully I can just drive down and pick it up.
Thanks for the help. I needed it. Hopefully I can return the favor one day.

Thanks RHF

It looks like it's Potentiometer
part # R19-9410-05 {NB. IF_Shift}

Now, I did a search for this but nothing comes up. How do I find the
exact
part and where???

Hi gentlemen

On my Kenwood R-5000, my IF Shift inner knob doesn't stop turning at
the
positive and negative marks like it should. It works fine, but the
knob
spins freely all around and around if you wish without stopping like
the
other knobs on the radio. I know that some sort of catch is not
stopping
it
from turning freely as it should. Broken off?

Since the control works, is there any way to fix this myself somehow?

If not, does anyone know what part number or type of control is used
for
replacement?

Thanks guys
Lucky

LUCKY,

Yes the Knob has built-in Stops as part of the Control.

The first thing to do is to be mindful of the fact that the
Stops are NOT there and therefore keep from 'turning' the
Control to far and do any more "Damage" to the Control until
you repair it.
