Actually most of the pitcairners are on Norfolk Island, where the
British move them about 150 years ago. It is about 600 miles NW of
Auckland, and has daily scheduled Jet service from Australia, and
several times a week from Auckland. While Pitcairn is technically
British Territory, Norfolk is Australian (uses Australian Dollars,
Australian Passports, and you need and Australian Visa, but no GST,
has its own tax regime and stamps. That's a sore subject with some of
the locals...
