Hi
Ok right now I'm using my JRC NRD-525 with a 35 Ft dipole and a 4:1 Current
balun coupled with a MFJ-959 pre-amp/tuner. I don't use the tuner that
often. As you know it amps the noise too along with the signal so I use only
it when absolutely neccessary. I'm on the 23rd floor of a building so I get
good signals.

LUCKY,
Forget the Dipole ETC.
Since your are up 23 Floors (10-12Ft X 23 = 230-276 Feet)
Vertical "Drop" Antenna # 1.
- Buy 100-200 Feet of TV 300 Ohm Twin Lead.

- Attach a 8 Ounce Fishing Weight to the Far-End.

them to the Antenna and Ground Terminals for your Receiver.
- Lower the TV Twin Lead out the Window for your antenna.
Vertical "Drop" Antenna # 2.
- Buy 100-200 Feet of TV 300 Ohm Twin Lead.

- Take the Near-End and 'bare' the Wires, then connect them to
the 300 Ohm-End of a TV 300 Ohm to 75 Ohm Matching Transformer.
- Connect the 75 Ohm-End to a 6-25 Foot piece of TV 75 Ohm Coax

- Buy a "F" to SO-239 Adapter (RadioShack Catalog # 278-258)
to 'connect' the TV Coax Cable to the So-239 Jack on the Radio.
- Lower the TV Twin Lead out the Window for your antenna.
NOTE: Make sure that the Fishing Weight is between Floors
and not hitting (breaking) anyones windows :-{
