ME,

Follow-Up Questions:

If it only has 'one' IF Filter is used for the AM, AM-SYNC and
SSB Modes of Reception ?

How does the Sony ICF-SW7600GR manage to 'create' the different
Band Widths for these three Modes of Reception ?

Reference: Sony ICF-SW7600GR Service Manual (PDF File)

Any Help or Information would be Appreciated

FO&A,

I have a question about the Sony ICF-SW7600GR Radio's Filters.

As far as I can determine the Sony ICF-SW7600GR Radio does NOT
have a "Switch" for a Wide-Narrow AM/SW IF Filter.

The Sony ICF-SW7600GR Radio does offer three types of Reception:
AM, AM-SYNC (Selectable USB&LSB) and SSB (Fine Tuning-Clarifier).

Does the Sony ICF-SW7600GR Radio use a 'different' IF Filter for
each type of Reception?

If so what are the IF Filter Specifications for these IF Filters:

AM - IF Filter = __._ kHz
Any Comments: Very Good - Too Wide - To Narrow ?

AM-SYNC - IF Filter = __._ kHz
Any Comments: Very Good - Too Wide - To Narrow ?

SSB - IF Filter = __._ kHz
Any Comments: Very Good - Too Wide - To Narrow ?

Any Help or Information would be Appreciated

Yep,just the one b/w choice.Probably has the same type ceramic filter @ the
usual 455kHz.All potables have about the same ceramic filter setup. The
SW7600 is a decent little radio for what it does.Which is not alot.It will
allow you to hear the big boy's,ie BBC,RCI,RFI,ect, but that usually brings
out the "I'll add a big antenna & hear everything" syndrome. Then the radio
get's over-loaded & you end up with less in the long run.

Have a look @:

Will have more info than you'll know what to do with.
