Before you buy another radio, why not try a pair of amplified computer
speakers which can be attached to the Sony's line output? That would
be much less expensive and may work well for you.

I use the 7600GR mainly for MW reception in my work vehicle (which
doesn't have a radio). It's very sensitive and has easy to use
memories, which is great, a synch which helps, and has enough volume
from the speaker (I can't use earphones) for its purpose. Its also
small enough to carry around.
I've been wondering, though, if there's another small MW receiver
which has all of the positives except the synch detector (I can't
imagine another radio this size with synch) but with better audio.
The SW of the 7600 isn't that important, as I need a MW radio for
work. How does that DT200V stack up? Any other possibilities?
