Bruce, Ace, and Julie, I have the HQ-180 hooked up to either an Antenna
Specialist 67 1/2' sloper, or the recently erected Par Electronics EF-SWL
mounted horizontally. When I switch back and forth between the two of them, the
EF-SWL seems to perform better in the Trops. Ace, your so right about the
HQ-180 also filling in as a shack heater. I work second shift, so by the time I
get home, the programable thermostat in our house drops the heat down after
2200, while the rest of the family sleeps. When I fire up the shack at 2300, I
keep the door closed and the 180 on, and it's very comfortable. Julie, in a
