Actually, for me the odd thing was that the BBC on 5975
wasn't on, but I could hear Morocco booming in on 5980.

I tried practically every station listed in Passport under
0200 UTC for
North America, and the only thing I can pick up is a real
faint signal
from South Korea on 31m. I can't even receive CUBA, for
dogsakes! It's
0240 as I post this message, and still nothing. Even the US
time signals
are faint, and I'm only 1000 miles away from them! Oh, and
the racket on
49m is incredible. What's going on here? I haven't heard
anything about
a solar flare or storm.
Hi - Here in SF Bay Area, although reception is not splendid,
there is
plenty to hear - all the big guns are powering in, and there are
plenty of non-NA broadcasts to hear as well (the southern Africa
services in particular were great last night about 0400 onward,
like
BBC Meyerton SA and VOA Botswana, and DW Rwanda if Deutsche is
your
thing). Europe was a little weaker than a few nights ago, but
they
were there. Cuba was strong on 49 meters.
Hope your reception improves!

I'll try repositioning my antenna. I was hearing Australia faintly
on
21740 at sign on 2200 UTC, and WWV 15 Mhz is coming in loud and
clear. I
live in Sacramento, about 90 miles inland.
