I am planning to purchase the Degen 1103
and I see two EBAY sellers have the radio.
The Shortwave Radio Store run by Brochhi
has the radio but I am wondering if it is the latest version of the Degen
1103 (on or after
September 28th)?? The site does not say.
V-COM Collections run by Liypn says his
Degen 1103 is the newest model. Anyone
know if Brochhi sells the newest version.
The older versions supposely are less relaible. Liypn's costs are about $13
or so extra but maybe worth it if it is the newest version versus the old
version.

Liypn sells the latest version and tests the radios before shipping.
Read the auction info again and you'll see this quote...
"We are selling the latest version of the DE1103 radio manufactured on or after September 28, 2004
with improvements on the shuttle control, SW/SSB sensitivity and audio quality."
Liypn tests the radios before shipping them.
You'll need a 220v step up transformer to use the 1103 with 110v mains in North America
(if that is where you are). If you have a couple of sets of 4 AAA rechargeables and a charger
you won't need mains at all.
