NOTE if you listen to high quality AM audio only, then this rig is not for
you - stick with your Drake R8B for the best audio sound

----- Would certainly disaggree with that statement. The r-8's have an
active filter in the audio section cutting off at 5,000 Hz. Take an Icom
756 PRO, open the IF to 9KHz (a Drake can't do that, either)....sounds much
better. The PRO 6KHz AM filter selection sounds very much like the
-8B. ------

If you want to buy yourself the ultimate DX radio and catch up with dxAce
and get over 200 countries QSL'd then you better put one of these rigs in
your Christmas stocking.

IcomAmerica are closing out the Icom IC-756 PRO II this Christmas for only
$2150. Check it out at Universal and HRO.
The radio has an awesome digital receive section with full spectrum
display
using a 24 bit processor and a 32 bit DSP.
No new receive only radio's are coming out with specs such as this.
This rig will give you unparalleled opportunities for pulling in that
really
weak DX from the remotest weak stations.

NOTE if you listen to high quality AM audio only, then this rig is not for
you - stick with your Drake R8B for the best audio sound .

an early HAPPY CHRISTMAS to you all
