The Workers World Party at work, no doubt, perhaps in one of its guises

Actually, there's several "revolutionary socialist" groups out there,
each with its own agenda and own following (small no doubt, but a
following). It's been a while since I've been involved in
"revolutionary" activities, so I can't remember them all, but in
addition to the WWP there's the International Socialists (their signs
are ALWAYS recognizable at demonstrations once you know what typeface to
look for), the Revolutionary Communist Party (they're Maoists), and the
Spartacists, a group that's so weird even the other socialists call it a
cult. And that's just the beginning. We're talking about people who
answer their phones with the last two digits of the phone number,
supposedly to distract the secret police (like that wouldn't ATTRACT
attention when everybody else on the planet says "hello" when answering
the phone). They generally act like they're in pre-1917 Russia. They
each have their own newspaper, and reps of each can be found at any
demonstration hawking their respective propaganda. Their delusions of
grandeur can be quite funny even if you tend to be on the liberal side
of things. By the way, the WWP groups like ANSWER and National People's
Campaign tend to identify themselves as such; the Guerrilla Radio pirate
could be another splinter group of the WWP or another one of the
socialist groups or even a totally new, unaffiliated organization.
