In October I told about college courses for digital multimeter

certification.
http://www.jjc.edu/courses/EISFL.asp?Course=ELC

ELC 105 is the basic course, $295.
ELC 3150, though labeled something else on the web site, is

labeled
"Advanced Digital Multimeter" in the paper course catalog; also

$295.

ELC 105: "Description: (Authorized by FLUKE Corporation.) This

workshop
is intended for maintenance personnel who work with electrical

test
equipment. Upon successful completion, you will receive Digital
Multimeter Certification authorized by FLUKE Corporation. Emphasis
is on the safe use of equipment and correct interpretation of

results."

I'll be darned!

I guess it is cheaper than a college course in Engineering
Lab 101. Of course, they'd only spend 10 minutes on the
DMM, and you'd actually learn some other things as well.
