This guy is awesome when it comes to surface mount MARS / CAP mods. He
is an SMT Engineer assistant at Lockheed where I work. He did 3 FT-100D
radios for me and is really awesome when it comes to putting them back
together just as they came apart. (wire routing that is).


What's the big deal, the mod is simply to desolder 2 components. An 8th
grader can do this.


You must have very talented 8th graders. There's very few 8th graders,
let alone other hams, in my area that I would trust to remove surface
mount components without damageing the trace foils.
