That post sounded more hateful than I intended, which I apologize for. I
have little tolerance for the ignorant, whatever clothing they are
adorned in. Faith can be a good thing, but it does not entitle one to be
stupid, to hold uninformed ideas that fly in the face of reason simply
because one sees faith to be more important than reason. Faith and
reason both have their place. One should realize that they are not the
same, one is not superior to the other. Reason should not be thrown out
the window because one's faith is held to be more important. "Creation
Science" does this, it holds that faith is a science more important than
the science of facts and figures, even when facts and figures
convincingly disprove faith's myths. Everybody has myths, but to believe
in them blindly, without any input from external sources, is what many
people of faith in America do, and that is simply wrong.
