Only from Motorola. I have a HT1250 and am a ham and have been there, done
that. If you get a HT 1550 and a programming battery you still have to have
a dealer set up the key programming once. Got a new HT1550 coming from the
local dealer tomorrow they say so I have been there too.
Motorola has stuff they do not advertise or have on the web site that you
can get if you can find the number. That is how I got them to order the
programming battery, I foung the number. They said they don't have an item
like that until I told them the number of the battery i wanted, then they
said OK!
