Looking for the CK-70 kit for various Icom receivers

The only thing the kit gives you is convenience.

You get a power cable and a bracket.

Inside the receiver is a pair of translucent white 3 pin Molex
connectors jumpering the internal 12VDC supply to the receiver
electronics. The CK-70 kit directs you to unplug these connectors and
mount the half going to the radio to a hole in the back panel using
the supplied sheet metal bracket. The included power cable plugs into
this Molex connector and you supply your own 12VDC through this cable.

You can do the same thing on your own by finding that Molex connector,
which is very obvious, and adding your own connector or tap to supply
your own 12VDC to the receiver electronics. Negative ground, and one
wire is positive. You can bring the Molex connector out through the
existing hole and it will work without the sheet metal bracket
although it will be wobbly.

It's a good idea to run all these receivers off external 12VDC,
because the heat from the internal power supply is the primary cause
of failure in this series of receivers. Note the latest model, R8500,
has an external supply.
