you don't Icom's serial numbers do not depict the month and year.The
serial number is issued on succession of units produced. You have the
26711 IC-725 produced. Numbers under 1000 were / are prototype units
in the time frame the IC-725 was introduced.

Open'er up and read off the date codes of the various IC's.
A month or so past the most recent date code ought to put
you in the ballpark. Too, you might find a QA stamp on
one of the pc boards.
