Excerpt from article: "The Texas state troopers were in B.C. as part of
an exchange program with the RCMP to spot and stop drug traffickers.
Called Pipeline Convoy, the program involves training officers to detect
people who are lying or trying to hide things from police, said RCMP Sgt.
John Ward."

Odd thing is, even more than the need to detect lying citizens, we need a
method to detect and hold liable lying police officers and politicians.

This is what America has become:

"Woman Considers Fighting Candy Bar Arrest. Washington (AP) - A woman who
was handcuffed and jailed for eating a candy bar on a subway station
escalator got her day in court Thursday, but didn't get much
satisfaction.

Stephanie Willett was eating a Pay Day bar on an escalator in the Metro
Center station on July 16, and received a warning from Metro Transit
Police Officer C. Curry Hagler not to eat on transit system property. She
stuffed the last bit of the bar into her mouth as she approached the
turnstile.

After receiving a second verbal warning from another police officer,
Willett said Hagler warned her she would be arrested if she continued
eating. When she responded by telling Hagler she should "go looking for
real crime," she was detained, searched, handcuffed and arrested on a
charge of eating on a public transportation conveyance. After spending
three hours in the District of Columbia Jail, Willett paid $10 to be
released and waited for her court date."

She was no longer carrying the candy bar, simply chewing the remainder of
what she alreay had. They honestly expected her to "spit out" the
remaining candy, so as to be in compliance with the law. When she was
further challanged, she said that they should "go looking for real
crime." They arrested her for finishing a candy bar. These same transit
police also cited a wheelchair bound boy that suffered from Cerebral
Palsy for swearing when he was unable to find a working elevator to allow
him to leave the subway station.

Do you think that any of these zealous officers ever speed, or park
illegally, or make illegal turns on red, or cheat on their taxes, etc. We
have no way to rein in their illegal activities, yet they can make
everyone else a criminal by zealously enforcing even the slightest
infraction of the law.

Your tax dollars at work. We haven't even seen the tip of the iceberg
yet.
