I'm diddling with the design of a homebrewed 20M hexagonal wire

la the Traffie Hexbeam. I have the driven element resonated at
14.150 in the modeler. Now I have to add the reflector to the

model.
The question is how much longer should the refelector be vs. the
overall length of the driven element in terms of percenatge/scale
factor. I'm much more interested in F/B performance than I am in
forward gain. Does anybody who has been there have suggestions for

a
starting point??

I would say, Use 4nec2 to let it automatically determine the

reflector
length and/or spacing for optimal F/B ratio, or send me your EzNec,
NecWin+, *.ant data or whatever modeler you are using, and I'll let
you know the spacing and/or length.

There's an offer I can't refuse. After I add a "generic" reflector to
the model I can ship you an .nwp file probably sometime on Friday,
Saturday at the latest.

I can't decipher your e-mail address. Mine is (kelly) at dvol dot com.

Thanks Arie.
