If you have SBC DSL, why do you even bother with AOL?


Because AOL's raison d'etre has always been content, content, content. Why
do you think they're offering AOL for Broadband? They're not now, and
never have been, simply an access provider.

It's the same reason Verizon's partnered with MSN and SBC with Yahoo for
their respective DSL services. MSN and Yahoo are premium content
providers.

Plus, the OP may have started on AOL and may have wanted to keep his
screen names and/or some of the other features specific to AOL's setup.
