I just acquired a used Isotron 40m antenna. Set up on a plastic pipe on the
deck, 13 feet off the ground. I've worked VE2, EA8, and KP2 on CW. Receive
signal is about 2 S units below an R-7000 in the back yard. Next step is to
get some electrical conduit and build a 20 foot mast to see how that works.
Instructions (available on the Internet) say it needs a metal support to get
the correct impedance.

As far as statistics -- fact is 3 out of 10 accidents are caused by drunk
drivers -- thus 7 out of 10 are caused by sober drivers - guess we ought
to
get em off the road - huh
