I have all three [well I have a 1000MP anyhow]. All three are great radios.
The 756Pro has everything built in and the scope and the receiver is very
good. The 1000MP has a better receiver, but you would only notice in very
crowded band conditions where it's superior dynamic range will be
appreciated and with the new Inrad roofing filter installed [$165], the
1000MP's have an outstanding receiver, as good as anything other than a Ten
Tec Orion. If you are a dx chaser and you absolutely have to get that new
one, then the 1000MP would be the choice. For most of us who chase
"convenient" dx or casually participate in a contests, the Icom 756 Pro
would be all we need 98% of the time. Don't get me wrong as you can work
tons of dx on either but if that rare one is barely readable and other
strong stations appear nearby you will appreciate the 1000MP. --- Steve

Thinking of upgrading my station from a Kenwood 850 SAT. Rigs I am looking
at are the 1000 MP IV or the 756 PRO.

Any pros or cons a person should be looking out for?

any advice appreciated
