I live in a harsh winter environment with lots of ice, wind and snow. I

am
looking at ways to improve the reliability of my antenna. I don't want to
do repairs in the winter!

Is there a chemical that improves the reliability of the electrical
connections between telescoping antenna elements? (e.g. telescoping

elements
used in a vertical)

If the elements are aluminum, there's a connection compound made for
aluminum
There are several brands and trademarks two of the names are "NoAlox" and
"Penetrox"..
This is for the contacting surfaces in the telescoping sections.

- or move down below the 38th parallel where all antennas last twice as long
;-)
