i just bought 10 acres of flat land here in alabama . i need a huge

choice.i don't wont a huge tower . i need a good budget wire ant.thats
all thank you very much 73s
I am not certain that a Rhombic for 160 would fit in your 10 acres. In part
it depends on the
configuration of the lot. 10 acres in a square configuration would lead a
side of about 650 feet. A wavelength is 160 x 3.1 or 496 feet. So the side
of the lot is less than 1.5 wavelengths on 160 -- not very long for a
rhombic. Do you have really tall supports for the Rhombic? You clearly have
enough space for a rhombic on 20 meters and perhaps 40 meters.
Do you really want to have most of your power going in only two directions?
This would assume that you could selectively feed one end or the other of
the antenna while terminating the other.
Perhaps one or more 160 meter center fed wire antennas arranged so that you
could choose the one
with lobes in the correct direction for your contact on the your choice of
bands would work out better.
