Who is "liberal"? Supporting the troops is liberal? Funny, when you are
a
reactionary (extreme far right), everyone else appears liberal. I've got
my
pension coming in (and health and life insurance) - *you* are the one who

going to get the worst end of the results from the current
administration.
In all honesty, I do hope I'm wrong about where we are headed, but I

it.

Liberals are anyone who disagrees wit' ya. The AARP was a fine
organization when it was helping to get the GOP prescription plan passed.
Now that the AARP does not support the proposed changes to Social
Security, they are left leaning, partial abortion supporting, socialistic,
Leeburals!

Simple, eh?

And fer Rabbi Phil:

Conservatives (actually neoconservatives) are at their funniest when they
are *in* power.

The AARP is a SELF ADMITED liberal organization.

Yeah, so I've heard Dan. But the point I am trying to get out is that it
was just fine for them to help with the Prescription plan, but once they
disagreed, the attack dogs came out. No loyalty, no sense of working
together because something is right. Just blind adherence to the party
line. And heaven help you if you disagree.

If the social sec issue is a good one, it should stand or fall on its
own merits, not whether or not our membership in the AARP is somehow a
litmus test that we support gay marriage!!

Of which I am a member. A non supportive member at this point on the
subject they support. But I believe one needs to be INSIDE to affect any
sort of change.

Yeah, I'm a member too. Mostly for the discounts ;^)

Which is why I still maintain my ARRL membership.
