The DE1103 is a dual conversion radio and it has plenty of images.
Most of the 6mhz, 7mhz and 9mhz and 15mhz bands reappear 900khz down.
You can count on almost any strong signal popping up in the wrong
place.
Someone posted a link to a summary of moderately priced receivers on
Radiointel. One of it's erroneous points was that receivers with
single conversion should be automatically excluded while those with
double conversion were assumed to provide protection from images and
were therefore much better radios. In the real world it ain't that
simple.
The DE1103 provides good value for the money, but it's price means that
some shortcomings remain. I think a similar assessment applies to the
DE1102.
