Has anyone tried to use the 8560 tube (common in older Motorola Micor,
etcVHF repeaters
as a replacement for the conduction cooled /Eimac 8873 tube?

Both have similar specs and I'd like to keep the conduction cooled feature
of my SB-230.

tnx,

It is a smart conversion to maintain the quiet operation - BUT with a bit
less power.
I have never seen a web page outlining this change (parts, photos and
instructions).
