Default [Alternate History] What if: BBC World Service Relay Station in the Faukland Islands (c. 1977) ...

What if: BBC World Service Relay Station in the Falkland Islands (c. 1977)
....

For simplicity, I will say that it will have the following capabilities:
2 x 100 kw SW transmitters
3 x 500 kw rated HR 4/4/1 directional antennas aimed at Western South
America & Pacific Islands (NZ & Australia)
-- HR 4/4/1 is a very standard antenna type, with 23dbi gain

I will assume that the site is placed next to the sea near cliffs, but some
50 km from Port Stanley.
I will assume that it is desil powered, but would only run 12 hours / day
[high-power] to save on costs.
I will assume that Patagonia would get about 18 hours / day of BBC WS
service
