virus. www.drudgereport.com Damn them to HELL!!! The ONLY way I
would ever take any kind of vaccine is they would have to kill me
first!
cuhulin
Damn... I read about it in the newspaper and I heard it on the radio
BUT
I
still like to know who the 'FOREIGN' countries are that received the
samples. I guess we could stomach Canada and the US but how many
third
world countries got it by mistake? Could there be an element of
censorship
at work here? It must be hot since it's not on the Drudge Report
anymore.
And besides, the company that was handling this world death threat
virus---some podunk private enterprise? I see a congressional inquiry
needed!

Canada received 4 samples and they were all destroyed by the labs which
received them, with a report to the Atlanta based Center for Disease
Control. The news report on CBC/RCI said countries like Lebanon
received
samples. This is very serious. Can't understand why anyone would think
it
is a good idea to send dangerous viral material around the world.
Apparently those born after 1968 will have no possibility of immunity.
Here more information regarding the vials sent to 5000 laboratories
throughout the world:

The majority of the samples went to American laboratories, but some went
to
Saudi Arabia, Jamaica, Mexico, Lebanon, Brazil, Hong Kong and Italy. The
discovery that the virus was the H2N2 Asian flu was made by a Canadian
laboratory on March 25. The National Microbiology Laboratory in Winnipeg
identified it but because it had been contaminated by other flu samples,
the
proficiency kit was not identified as the source until last Friday.

More from Associated Press, "Officials try to trace shipments of flu virus"
by Erica Bulman
[Snip]
....(Health experts) were still trying to trace two shipments that were
supposed to go to Mexico and Lebanon.
Labs in Lebanon and Mexico, however, "never received the specimen even
thought they were on the distribution list", Stohr said (WHO influenza chief
Klaus Stohr).
He said it was possible the shipments had never been sent out, but he could
not be sure. WHO has requested an investigation into the missing kits, he
said.
Stohr said Hong Kong, Belgium, Singapore, Canada, Chile, France, Germany,
Italy, South Korea and Taiwan had all confirmed their labs had destroyed
their samples.
The five other countires with labs that received the kits were Saudi Arabia,
Bermuda, Brazil, Israel and Japan. Stohr said Saudi Arabia has five labs
with samples; four had already completed the destruction of the virus.
The four other countries had not yet sent confirmation but had received
instructions to destroy the virus...
