There are lots of online resources, but you might try this to find out the
best frequency from your location - updated every hour courtesty of the
Australian Government.

http://www.ips.gov.au/
then go to HF systems,
then go to North America, HAP charts,
hourly HAP Charts.
Select the closest city and get an hourly propagation chart.
