My internet service provider has established a wireless access point on top
of a light pole about a mile from the shack. I'm going to TRY and hit it
with a passive repeater (two antennas back to back). I'll use either a
caffeine collinear (coffee can reflector) or a popsicle stick yagi on the
outside and a plain old dipole inside the shack for reradiation.

My isp doesn't have a clue as to whether is WAP is polarized horizontally or
vertically. Does anybody in this ng know for sure whether WAPs or horiz or
vert?

Do you know the AP manufacturer?

That being asked, most are vertical, such as Motorola Canopy and Tropos.
