Trade an R8A for an SW8? What am I missing?

The later version of the SW8 (starting in 1996) have a much better
sync'
detector than either the R8 or R8A.

Nevertheless, the R8A is the far superior dx system and of more value on the
market. I have owned both.

The late model (1996) SW8 sells for more than the original R8.
