BZZZZT!! Wrong!!! There is no exam for a restricted

radiotelephone
operator permit.

Now. But Roger took and passed a 2nd Class Radiotelephone in
1976. In front of an FCC examiner. The guy with the horned
rimmed glasses, crewcut, white shirt and tie and black pants.
The one who if you didn't follow their instructions exactly
would terminate your exam. The database clearly shows that the
Restricted Radiotelephone Permit was granted in 1981. You should
brush up on your reading skills.

It isn't even a license (whines and excuses)

Sort of like your obsolete Advanced.

Sure thing, Wogie. You sat down in front of an alleged FCC rep. and filled
out a questionnaire.
Big Deal.

You did nothing that any CB'er could not have done, so what is the reason
you feel it is such a mark of excellence? There are literally thousands of
those Phone licenses floating about, so you did nothing extraordinary.

Oh, wait, you DID do something extraordinary. You rankled Riley
Hollingsworth several times and he sent you, out of the goodness of his FCC
heart, an "invitation" to retake your Amateur Radio tests.

He must think very highly of you to have taken time out of his busy schedule
to have personally sent you Retest Invitations.

Riley likes you. I can tell.

(next up...discussion ref. the many ISP's you have lost)
