Default solder vs clamps

my dipole (center) has the usual wire thru a eye bolt and wrapped around
itself like the arrl manual typically shows

my ladder line transitions to the wire itself and is also wrapped around

questions:

rather than soldering it, (thought it might be stiff and break??) i
used proper sized wire clamps(w/teeth) [two of them , torqued proper]

wonder if a good compression fit is ok, or if eventually corrosion will
make for a poor connection?

it's still new enough i could clen it and solder it

any thoughts? perhaps it's just trivial but i wonder hate to throw off
harmonics
