Default Thru the glass antenna & tinted glass

Yes, the tint does affect performance. Find a location where there is not
any tint is the way around it. The glass in the windshield is the
insulator that separates to conductors, forming a capacitor. The tint, to
the best of my understanding, conducts, and screws up the matching, if
nothing else.

Hi,

I just traded in my very old 1985 Jeep Cherokee for a 1996 model. The

1996
model has tinted windows. I've always used a Larsen thru-the-glass

antenna for
mobile operations. Does the tint affect the antenna function? Is there

any
way around it? Thanks.
