Hi Dan,

I was hoping that wasn't it. Don't know where to get crystals for it
that would be any better than what's already in it.

Have a 'scope, counter, RF generator and various meters, but am pretty
green with it all. Good experience though!

The problem is even if you do get some brand new rocks for the units you
will find that the crystal filters have also 'drifted'. So I had to just
tweak and hope till I got things at least close.

They really are good radio's.
