This thing is incredible for SWR. Box said it was pretuned to 27.205. I
ran the
meter and the needle bairly budges. I tried it a few times to make sure
I
didn't
screw it up. No change. I then used the radio's SWR. No change. I used
and
Autek
RF analyzer I borrowed. Same thing. And the damn SWR is flat above and
below.
BTW, hey Chad, thanks for the info on Bury-Flex. I used it and it works
great.

No problem, I love that stuff! Sounds like we have a similar antenna rig,
Bury-flex and an Imax2K!
I have lots of critters 'round here and not one chew mark on the coax.
I ran PVC for the trenched part.
I dropped it in and it's doing well.
BTW I am also expieriencing the same SWR measurements with the Imax.....
Have you witnessed it in high winds yet... hehe.
I have it in trees, so the wind is reduced. AT least a little.
I saw mine with high wind and ice and it was spooky. I saw it lay flat out
2 weeks ago in straight line winds. Bent the mast but the antenna made it
thru. Now I'm a little more directional to the east

Till this weekend.
How 'bout putting it up,
was it fun to deal with that floppy sucka or what ?!
It was a bitch. Not recommended for a one man job.
I did it alone, well, with the help of a 4 yr old laughing at dad and
saying, "all you need now is a hoola-hoop daddy!!!" (you can ofset the sway
of the antenna by kinda moving "with" it.)
