Don't forget that Sunday 12th of June is the 36th Elvaston Castle
National Radio Rally.
As usual we have more than 150 traders selling Radio, Computer and
Electronics equipment in a series of large marquees, large outdoor flea
market and a further marquee for the grand bring and buy. The
manufacturers marquee will also be there as usual with displays from
Yaesu, Icom and Kenwood.
This year there will be two free prize draws, one from the event
organizers and one from the Manufacturers.
The Six Meter Group will be attending this year and as always we have
the Reception Marquee with tables and chairs for visitors to use and a
wide range of caterers on site.
GB2ECR will be active from the previous Wednesday and as last year will
be operating from the Saturday from the Bell Radio
(http://www.bellradio.co.uk/amateur.htm) 6x6 ex Russian Army radio
vehicle with a special license to operate up to 1kw. This year we we
also have a second Russian Radio vehicle adding to the Military display.
We will also have a vintage and in service Fire Engine on site during
the day. For the rest of the family there is the usual Craft Marquee and
we have a some large bouncy castles for the children. The event is held
in the beautiful grounds of Elvaston Castle country park where there are
many paths through the woods, parklands and round the lakes.
