The wires coming out of the radio are all correct. It's the wires
coming from the dashboard (the two greys and a white) which I'm unsure
need connecting to the radio.

Well, since according to your first post the radio works when the
headlights are off, I'll assume that the battery lead and the ground
connection are correct, but that the "switched A+" connection is hooked
up to the wrong place in the car. If it were mine, I'd trace that wire
back, or simply not use it and connect the radio's switched power
connection to a point in the car of my own determination. If you are
unable to use a volt meter to find a good switched connection alternative
for your radio, I can only recommend you seek a professional radio
installer for that info.
PS: or as an alternative, you can simply hook up the radio switched
connection to the battery hot lead and just remember to turn you radio
off manually every time you leave the car!
