There was also the left hand rule, MFC, which I won't go into here,
and a Mnemonic phrase for the characteristics of all Transistor
amplifier configurations: Azaza VoPiNi lives in the house of BEC (or
something similar to that effect). This was not part of the common
lore, but rather a legacy of some inventive mind. Inventive, I say,
because it was more trouble than simply remembering the
characteristics (the Mnemonic involves building a 3 X 3 table). And
of course we had Eli the Iceman, as has been already offered here for
reactive phase relationships.
