Oh geez, another brain fart! Yes, you're right, I was thinking of my AMP
instead of the RCA. I have both. The RCA is perhaps the best sounding, but
the knobs are rather flimsy, though metal.

The Stromberg is built like a pickup truck (wait till you pick one up), and $56
was a steal, especially if it had the weather instruments still in it.

Then there's the Philco version, built like a tank, more rugged metal than the
tube TOs. It will anchor at least a small ski boat :-) Best sound of the
bunch.

Half of these sets (various makes) use bandswitch, half use a TV-like turret.
