Hi Nick,

rrab is supposed to be a discussion group, but by general
custom it has become a pretty much anything goes group.
The general theme should have something to do with tube
rigs, or very old SS rigs.

I won't even touch the top posting vs bottom posting
conventions. Whichever style you pick will please some, and
upset others.

It is suggested that your Subject line have some indication
that reveals commerce postings. For instance:

Subject: FA - for auction
FS - for sale
WANTED - what it says
WTB - Wanted To Buy
WTD - Wanted

This allows the guys that hate the commerce use of this group to
skip those sorts of postings. Don't ever make the mistake of
using FS on an auction. You *will* get cored.

It would be nice to indicate generally what the subject of your
post is in the subject line too.

(eg. FA - Heathkit SB-123 or
Help me fix my Beefy-123)

Some folks get ruffled when the commerce listings are by people
who never contribute any technical content to this group. So
it would probably be best to join the community before you try
and clear out your garage here.

I offer this information only as a synopsis of my observations
of the culture of this group.

Welcome!

Hello,
Can some point me to the guidelines to posting to this news group? What is
acceptable and what is frowned upon as far as "for sale", "wanted", and "for
auction" messages go?
Thanks
