10W into a 15' antenna, most likely with a less then ideal
ground....I am impressed. I changed antennas, and added
to my ground system, this afternoon and was checking the
AM band. Given the garbage down there, I mean content
and technical qualtity, I haven't done any monitoring down
there in several months.

The TIS has a lot of "roll ins" for a variety of local events.
They mentinon a Sky Warn class to be held in March. I
suspect they don't update all that often and it means March
2005 not , March 2006.

Either they have increased their power, or my new antenna
and ground is a killer. I am going to have to check this out.

If I wasn't near 100F with 80% Iwould be tempted to go find
the Tx. I love to RDF fox hunt, but not in this heat.

And it was a little too hot to do antenna and ground work. But
a friend brought a ditch witch by, so it was too good a chance
to pass up. I put a perimter of 1/2" copper tubing around the
entire home. I new grounds where improtant, but if this made
this much difference...I am a little shocked.
