I owned a 2 meter dipole made from 1/2" copper pipe. Worked great - and
talk about bandwidth.

I've made several 2 meter dipoles, they worked just fine
since the repeater wasn't that far from me. Could hit one
or two 80-90 miles away. Also used a 38-39 wave length
doublet (80 meter dipole), it worked just fine too.
