The only part of that fairy tale that was true was where the four star
had his command yanked. The rest of it is typical schizo ranting.

In another time the military would have given him a letter of reprimand
for banging some honey while still married. The military is under
pressure to put on the cleanest of all faces possible so they are going
overboard on cases like this.

I've got mixed feelings about this situation. On the one hand he is a
career soldier who knows the rules about conduct unbecoming a soldier
and the need for senior officers to set an example by their actions.
On the other hand I am somewhat troubled by the decision to ruin the
final hours of this guys career by yanking his command. I doubt that
they will go further with charges. Something less severe like a letter
of reprimand or strong dressing down by Rumsfeld would have been
appropriate imho.
