I'd still rather the police engaged in saving lives instead of

lawlessness for the greater good of all affected. The local authorities
either clamp down on it before it gets out of hand, or you will wind up
with N.O. as a general free-for-all zone with folks shooting at the
rescu... Whoops! Too late! The animals are running the zoo...
