Last nite before Katrina hit, WWL was floudering in here at S-7 to
S-9.....tonight, a different story.

Now booming in at steady +10dB.

Maybe all that water surging into the area juiced up their antenna
efficiency?

How did their antenna survive the storm?

The didn't. WWL is now broadcasting from somewhere else.

Their towers and transmitter site did survive the storm. They are
broadcasting from a different studio location (LSU?)

NBC reported the other night that "several" of the N.O. stations
had combined their resources at a central location to keep broadcasting.
