Subject: (OT) : Where is the 'real' Humanity of the Liberal Media ?
When it comes to Helping the Victims still inside New Orleans ?

GREG,
.
And who directed them to go there in the first place :
To be Exported - Out of the City of New Orleans - Da Mayor
To be Deported - Out of the State of Louisiana - Da Governor
Transported by Who FEMA and Paid for by the Federal Government.
.
the great 'pogrom' of the city of new orleans has begun ~ RHF

. . . . .

I don't get your point. and I don't know who directed them to go there,
but someone in authority told them to seek refuge at the Convention
Center and they would be rescued. Never happened until two days after
Ted Koppel bitch-slapped Michael Brown on National TV. Once FEMA took
over in NO it was their responsibility to evacuate the victims. FEMA
looks really bad, and Michael Brown's whining about the media only
reporting the bad news makes him look even sorrier. There are bodies
floating in the streets, girls being raped in public, anarchy, old folks
being abandoned, and only the federal government has the resources to
take control. Too bad they don't have the will. The media would be
derelict if they didn't report this.

But you don't see any problem with the media ignoring the full story do you?
You are perfectly happy to jump to condemnation based on partial info --
arguably unsubstantiated emotional outbursts at that. Did you know, for
instance:

The City of NOLA failed to follow their very own disaster plan. Story with
links to the official plan. Of course, this is BUSH's fault, eh?
http://www.redstate.org/story/2005/9/3/112236/1123

It appears that the squealing Mayor C. Ray Nagin initially *REFUSED* to order
a mandatory evac. It took intervention on the part of the Bush administration
to persuade Gov Blanco who persuaded Mayor Nagin. But by the time the Bush
administration got it through their thick skulls, it was too late. Of course,
this is BUSH's fault, eh?:
http://www.redstate.org/story/2005/9/2/151117/6847

But, before then, it appears GOV Blanco *REFUSED* to act. Of course, this is
BUSH's fault, eh?:
http://www.mudvillegazette.com/archives/003484.html

Then we have the Mayor C. Ray Nagin memorial motor pool. Look at all those
buses, now flooded and useless. They should NOT be there. They should have
been packed full of people and headed northbound *HOURS* before the storm
made landfall. Of course, this is BUSH's fault, eh?:
http://theanchoressonline.com/2005/0...in-stunned-awe

So what does it take to move just *ONE* truck? Let's bear in mind that trucks
can't jump, swim or fly over the myriad of obstacles in their way and once
they get to NOLA, they aren't submarines either. Of course, this is BUSH's
fault, eh?:
http://iraqnow.blogspot.com/2005/09/...-just-one.html

Ok, let's go with the "All the troops are over in IRAQ. BUSH Stole all the
troops for his GWOT". Let's just see, where are the troops:
http://www.mudvillegazette.com/archives/003484.html

Since we are on the subject or troops, let's shift a bit to security. The
general gripe there is "IF only BUSH had responded sooner, NOLA would not
have devolved into a thug-ruled, Mad-Max zone. The only problem with that is
that the City & State LEO's are reponsible for maintaining order. The Posse
Comitatus Act of 1878 means federalized troops *ARE PROHIBITED* from
enforcing law on U.S. civilians. Ok, so what happened to local LEO? They
somehow evaporated to LESS THAN ONE-THIRD of their full strength. Even if
they had been poised literally on the doorstep, FEMA CAN'T GO IN until there
is some assurance the operating environment is safe from roving gangs of
armed thugs, else *FEMA* gets "mugged" and has to be rescued. Of course, this
is BUSH's fault, eh?:
http://www.nytimes.com/2005/09/04/na.../04police.html

Then there's this, on the NOPD meltdown. Of course, this is BUSH's fault,
eh?: http://michellemalkin.com/archives/003462.htm

But how about the reports that BUSH cut the funding that resulted in the
Levee breaching? Wrong again! The break was along a section that was just
upgraded & reinforced! Plus, they were in the planning stages of
upgrading/reinforcing the levee system to withstand Cat-5 storms. Bush could
have *OVER-FUNDED* the efforts since 2000, yet none of the work was projected
to have been completed for THIRTY YEARS. In the final analysis, The WashPost
concedes that their argument is prima facie bogus: Even with full funding in
recent years, none of the flood-control projects would have been completed in
time to prevent the swamping of the city, as Democrats yesterday
acknowledged. So, the levee that was breached was a new concrete levee. The
levee had recently benefited from an upgrade. The upgrade was complete.
Therefore Bush is to blame. Lefty logic like this makes you wonder how they
lost in 2000, 2002, and 2004:
http://nytimes.com/2005/09/01/nation...l/01levee.html

I could go on, and on, and on. If you want more, give me discrete allegations
and I'll see what I can dig up. The Main Stream Media has yet to catch up to
the blogosphere, which has been steadily, and handily discrediting all these
spurious claims, as they have popped-up on radar, with documented fact. To be
sure, the federal response was not perfect -- but those attacking BUSH don't
have the integrity to admit that it rarely *is* perfect. There is a general
response template to be followed, but the flooding of NOLA does not fit that
template. The City, Parish and State were supposed to follow their own plan
for just such and occurrance AND THEY FAILED TO DO SO. As Mark Kilmer so
aptly put it, "...Those who are so quick to condemn the Bush administration,
based *solely* on partial truths, misrepresentations and emotional outbursts
are only revealing that they, themselves are merely callous, vacuous dullards
with no recourse but to mine the gutter for blemished gems to hurl at those
who give a damn about the situation in the South..."

Go ahead and play the "Bash-Bush-Blame-Game". with darn little else coming
from the lefties that is apparently the sum-total of what those jokers have
to offer. In the meantime, The Bush administration, FEMA, Uniformed Troops,
what's left of the State and local EMS, and a voluminous list of volunteer
NGO's and private citizens will be over there taking care of business to he
best of their ability given the *UNIQUE* disaster circumstances they have to
work in. The "quivering lip" act will just have to play second fiddle...

Amen.
