When it gets fun is when they try to explain the

Where did the water come from?
Where did the water go?
I haven't found one yet that can answer the question, How much water
would it take to cover the earth from sea level to 1 foot over the top
of Mount Everest? And What effects would this extra mass have on the Earth?
Very doubtful that the flood of Noah's time covered the entire earth. At
that time, the world to them was the Mesopotamia area, they new nothing
of the world outside that. Archaeologists in attempting to verify the
flood, found a layer of silt beneath the city of Ur at a depth that
would concide with about the time of Noah. However, as they moved to the
outer edges of the Mesopotamia area the layer of silt became shallower
and finally dissappears, indicating that the flood did not cover the
"entire earth". There are many ancient stories of great floods from
areas all around the world.
