I'm responding to you, aren't I?

More likely you could beat him 100:1 since even I could probably manage
10:1
as I suspect that you are far better than I. One member of our club
set a
new personal best last Field Day of 1000 contacts on 40 meters mixed CW
and
phone. At least half of them were CW.\

boy you are in deep mis elitist Bitch

Why don't you exercise some civility and self-control?

I am I am in full control of myself, and the object of the address has
stated that she does not find it offensive or insulting

...and you have no thought at all for anyone else who might find it
offensive or insulting.

but of course I know Daves style on here

Asuming I accept his challenge and win I gain nothing of value since
Dave will never adknowledge it

I've stated here (this makes the third time) that I'll publicly

And I don't believe you

It was all set up in your favor, Mark, the odds, the reporting of scores
to ARRL, monitoring of my activity but no monitoring of your activity,
your use of PC and code reading software.

acknowledge your CW operating prowess in this forum. The scores would
be submitted to the ARRL for publication on the League website.

but that mans Id have to NOT support my club for FD overwise my scorre
will be lumped in with theirs

Didn't you just tell me that you'd planned to operate from home? How were
you going to support your club's effort from your home? You can't add
your home score to your club's efforts from a different location.

The League's results are broken down into QSOs and final score.
We'll go strictly by the number of QSOs made during the FD period.
I'll take your worthless word that you've had no assistance, other than

and I don't believe youd take my word

Your word has been proven worthless, but I've said I'd accept it.

from your computer. You may have one, two or three individuals,
mutually agreed on by us, to watch me like a hawk during the entire
operation, if you like.

right like I know anyone in WV

I live near eastern Ohio and Southwestern Pennsylvania. You have months
and months to find some people.

but neither of you nor can both of you bait me into accepting
challange that wouls be adknowledged

You would receive your due if you were to actually come up with 1 QSO to
my 15 QSOs. You know there is a catch, of course, and that is making

The catch is you don't tell the turth and so I don't believe you

Every word I've told you is the truth. I've publicly offered the
challenge here. I've offered for my operation to be monitored.
How much spine do you have? How much of an advantage do you need?
Think of your recent postings about how you could identify a morse
distress call and handle the message traffic using your PC and
code-reading software. Doesn't your self-respect enter into this?

you leary. The catch is that you know and I know that you can't succeed
and that I'd pound you like a drum. I don't blame you for being a
little nervous. After all, your self-respect is on the line.

Dave's history of evasion is clear on that score

That's a sheer fabrication, and you know it. You're simply ducking the

no it is simple truth, You spent weeks refusing to answer simple
questions.

Nothing whatever necessitates my answering any of your questions on any
topic. Deal with it.

You will likely find some way of evading admitting to my
sucess assuming I pull it off and we (the NG) will never hear the end
of it if i should fail.

I can assure that the newsgroup will never hear the end of it when you
fail. It would never hear the end of it if *I* failed. This is a real,
one-on-one challenge of operating skills--man and machine vs. man and his
brain. The worst it will cost you is years of humiliation and jeering.
Now think of how it would be if I somehow lost to you. Wouldn't that be
sweet? I could stumble coming out of the blocks. I could have
miscalculated the odds and given you too much of an advantage for me to
ever overcome. I'd even skip the part about you having to kiss my ass on
the fifty-yard line at a WVU home game at halftime. What *if*, Mark?

If I were to accept a "chalenge" in which no desirable outcome is
possiblethen I would the fool you claim I am

Then you've been painted into a corner, Mark. You won't accept the
challenge, even with a 15:1 advantage. You're sure to get walloped if you
do take the challenge. Maybe you aren't one who can operate CW. Maybe all
that stuff about code-reading software being as good as a human op was
simply guff.

Dave K8MN

Don't forget that unless he upgrades between now and FD, that he will have
to have arrange with another amateur (General, Advanced, or Extra) to be at
his site and acting as control op so they can operate in the HF bands.
